Trillium gracile

"Sabine River wake-robin" is native to Texas and Louisiana, sparsely distributed in undisturbed, well drained soils of the pine forests. 

 Trillium gracile emerges only during the spring.

 

One recently-emerged individual has not yet fully opened.
