Springtime Flowers

During 2017, several pieces of Virginia willow were taken from this original group and transplanted into other parts of the arboretum. All of the transplants survived, with several of the new patches blooming this spring.
This original patch is still very healthy, but the area is getting crowded. The photos show that the Viriginia willow blooms just fine in crowded, shady conditions.
