Spring Flowers: Red Buckeye (Aesculus pavia)

This is one of our youngest red buckeyes. It's a volunteer, first identified and added to the catalogue in the spring of 2013. The photo above shows dappled sunlight on the leaves and flowers. In a few weeks, this will be a very shady spot.
